Description
A refreshing, natural energy drink made with frozen mango, passion fruit, green tea, and citrus. This tropical fruit boost provides a gentle caffeine lift without the jittery crash, offering a hydrating and vitamin-rich alternative to traditional energy drinks.
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen mango chunks
- 2 tablespoons passion fruit pulp
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 cup brewed green tea (cooled)
- 1–2 tablespoons honey
- 6–8 fresh mint leaves
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Optional: 1/4 cup coconut water
- Optional: 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- Optional: 1/2 inch fresh ginger, peeled
Instructions
- Brew green tea and ensure it is completely cooled in the refrigerator.
- Muddle 2-3 mint leaves in the bottom of a serving glass to release oils.
- Add frozen mango chunks, passion fruit pulp, orange juice, lime juice, and honey to a high-speed blender.
- Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until smooth and creamy.
- Pour in the cold green tea and add ice cubes.
- Blend again on high for 30-60 seconds until the drink is frothy and slushy.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared glass over the muddled mint.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lime or orange.
- Serve immediately with a straw.
Notes
Use frozen mango to avoid diluting the drink with too much ice. If using fresh mango, add ice cubes. Brew the green tea strong (2 bags per cup) to ensure flavor isn’t lost. Adjust sweetness based on the ripeness of the mango. Serve immediately for best texture.
