Description
A refreshing, fizzy, and bright summer mocktail made with frozen berries, fresh lime juice, honey, and sparkling water. It looks stunning, tastes like sunshine, and takes only five minutes to prepare.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries (raspberries, blackberries, strawberries)
- 2 cups plain sparkling water
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 cup water
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
- Extra berries (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place frozen berries in the bottom of a tall glass or bowl. Gently crush them with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release juice and color.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice over the crushed berries and add honey.
- Stir the mixture until the honey dissolves into the berry juices, creating a thick pink syrup. Add a teaspoon of water if needed to help mixing.
- If using fresh berries, add ice cubes. If using frozen berries, skip the ice.
- Slowly pour chilled sparkling water over the mixture to preserve carbonation.
- Stir gently one last time, garnish with mint and extra berries, and serve immediately.
Notes
Use frozen berries to act as ice cubes and prevent dilution. Keep sparkling water cold until serving to maintain fizz. Do not mix sparkling water too early or the drink will go flat. For a vegan version, substitute honey with agave nectar.
