Description
A quick, refreshing frozen drink made with frozen strawberries, fresh lime juice, and mint. This slushy-style beverage is naturally sweet, hydrating, and takes only five minutes to prepare.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups (300g) frozen strawberries
- 3–4 tablespoons (45-60ml) fresh lime juice
- 10–12 large fresh mint leaves
- 1 cup (240ml) water or coconut water
- 1–2 tablespoons (20-30ml) honey or agave nectar (optional)
- Ice (optional, if fruit is not frozen enough)
- Extra mint sprig for garnish
- Thin lime wheel for garnish
- Whole strawberry for garnish
Instructions
- Wash limes and mint leaves. Pat mint dry and remove tough stems.
- Squeeze limes to extract fresh juice, ensuring no pulp remains.
- Pour water or coconut water into the blender first.
- Add lime juice and honey/agave nectar to the liquid.
- Add mint leaves on top of the liquid.
- Add frozen strawberries on top of the mint.
- Start blending on low speed to break up the frozen berries.
- Once berries are chopped, increase to high speed and blend for 45-60 seconds until smooth and slushy.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more honey or lime juice if needed.
- Pour immediately into glasses and garnish with mint sprig and lime wheel.
- Serve with a wide straw and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Use frozen strawberries for the best thick, slushy texture without diluting the flavor with ice. If using fresh strawberries, freeze them for at least 4 hours beforehand. Blend on low first to protect the motor, then high for smoothness. Serve immediately as the drink separates and melts quickly.
